11/27/15 20:00 Animal’s appearance – Cat appeared clean and of healthy weight. Animal’s demeanor with you – Cat seemed very nervous and scared. Cat was not moving in carrier. Cat was very alerted. Cat did hiss and attempt to flee while transferring from carrier to den. Finder stated she found this cat in a box outside her front door step of her building.

Turducken came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Turducken was nervous but allowed handling. Reaction to assessor: Turducken is lying in his cage, relaxed. Reaction when softly spoken to: Turducken sits up, slightly tense. Reaction to cage door opening: Turducken looks at the assessor with wide eyes. Reaction to touch: Turducked moves away to avoid touch, allows some petting, then hisses. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Turducken appears fearful of the assessor and avoids interaction. Turducked is exhibiting behavior suited to experienced cat parents with no children who can allow him to adjust slowly in a calm, structured environment.
