07/17/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Hiding in back of cage, hisses. (3) Reaction to being spoken to quietly: Continues hiding, cries. (3) Reaction to cage door opening: Remains motionless. (2) Reaction to touch: Fearful, moves away from touch, but warms up with slow approach. (2) Reaction to being picked up: Tolerant of this type of handling. Notes: Tuna came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. At the time of the assessment, Tuna is exhibiting fearful behavior. He avoids interaction with the assessor and is tense during handling, but does calm down over time. Tuna is exhibiting behavior suited for experienced cat parents.
