07/20/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/20/15 20:53 Behavior during intake: This cat came into MACC in a trap. In order to transfer, I placed a carrier in front of the trap with food in the back of the carrier. The cat went into the carrier without a problem. When I attempted to collar the cat and lead it out of the carrier, it swatted at me and hissed. The photo was taken while the cat was in the carrier. I did not collar this animal.

07/23/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Tum Tum does not come to the front, but remains neutral inside of her cage. Her eyes widen and focus on the assessor when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Tum Tum becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Tum Tum hisses at the assessor’s hand, but remains immobile when the assessor pets her on her head and back. Her eyes wander around and her ears bend sideways during the interaction. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Tum Tum tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
