*SAFE* 08/30/15 –

Meet Triz: Triz was found in the street with lacerations around her nose. She has a split soft and hard palate and a fractured pelvis. Despite these injuries, she was very easy to handle when she came to us and remains calm and friendly. She will need vet care immediately and will need surgery. Please take this sweetheart home and give her the love and care she needs!

S/O: QAR, hydrated, will not stand on exam, RR and RE are normal, split hard and soft palate and split nasal philtrum, pelvic fracture, appears comfortable at rest in cage, purring and seeks attention, possible mandibular symphysis fracture (lower incisors are not symmertical).

S/O: QAR, not eating, mild dehydration, unable to stand or walk.

BEHAVIOR—Beginner Home

Please take note: Triz was brought into the shelter with a pre-existing medical condition.

Reaction to assessor: Triz looks soft and relaxed in her cage when approached by the assessor.

Reaction to door opening: Triz remains lying down on her cage bedding, immobile in place.

Reaction to touch: Triz head-butts the assessor’s hand, purrs in place, and appreciates petting on the head and body.

Placement determination: Beginner

Triz interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.

This cat can go to a beginner home.
