At intake Ficus was quiet and willingly walked from the feral trap into the feral den with ease. The counselor did not handle Ficus at intake.

Notes: Trackie Kent was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Trackie Kent is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, is calm, relaxed and friendly (1) When spoken quietly: comes to the front of cage, soliciting, rubbing against front (1) Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed (1) Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention (1) Reaction to toy or novel object: plays with the object gently (1) Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling Placement Determination: Beginner
