06/02/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Tori was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. She seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment she was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: hisses at me (3) When spoken quietly: hisses (3) Reaction to door cage opening: become stiff, alert, continues to hiss (3) Reaction to touch: hisses, flat ears , very fearful (4) Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of behavior, hisses swat. Placement Determination: Newhope
