*****TERRIFIC TOPSY ENJOYS NAPPING WITH OTHER CATS AND IS A GORGEOUS 9 YR OLD TORTIE GIRL WHO SADLY LANDED IN THE SHELTER WHEN HER OWNER DIED***** TOPSY is a sweet girl who came into the ACC with several other cats, some who were already on the euth list. TOPSY is a friendly cat who was said to enjoy the company of other kitties. Sadly when her owner died, someone decided to round up all the cats and dump them in the kill happy ACC. Now here, TOPSY is nervous, afraid, and nonetheless not her usual self. What a surprise. She got an EXPERIENCE rating which is just enough to push her onto this list tonight. PLEASE ADVOCATE FOR TOPSY WHO DESERVES BETTER – GIVE HER A FOSTER OR FUREVER HOME NOW AND SHE WILL BE EVER SO GRATEFUL AND REWARD YOU WITH MANY YEARS OF COMPANIONSHIP AND PURRS! CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HER TO SAFETY.

03/29/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Topsy was calm and relaxed upon approach. When softy spoken to, she looked at the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Topsy remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Topsy remains in place for petting, blinks her eyes, and lip licks. Reaction to toy or novel object: Topsy shows no interest in playing. As per previous owner, Topsy is friendly and enjoys napping with other cats. She was tense and nervous during her initial medical exam. This may be due to the exposure to a new environment, but she has not displayed any aggressive behaviors throughout her stay in the care center. Behavior Determination: Experience Topsy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
