***SAFE 12/15/15*** TOOTS IS A BLACK & WHITE SWEETIE BETWEEN 10-15 WEEKS OLD!! And she is her own PR dept……Toots was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. The finder has kept her in their home before bringing her into the care center. They reported she is very curious and playful with people. She allows herself to be approached and enjoys petting. She was receptive to introduction upon intake, and was easy to handle during her initial medical exam. Reaction to Assessor: Toots was at the front, climbing on the cage door and meowing softly. Reaction when softly spoken to: Toots attempts to sniff the assessor’s hand. Reaction to cage door opening: Toots remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Toots allows all petting, head-butts, and begins to purr…TOOTS IS SAYING SHE WANT TO GO HOME!! WHO CAN HELP HER WITH THAT TONITE?? I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 12/10/2015 from NY 11220, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

12/10/15 13:32 Toots is a 10 week old female black and white domestic shorthair kitten who arrived as a stray surrender. Toots spend some time in the clients home before surrender. Client states that Toots used an open litter box well with clumping litter. Toots was given a bath and was receptive to it. Toots was very curious and playful to the humans in the human and allows herself to be approached and enjoys petting. Upon intake Toots was receptive to introduction. Toots was curious and loose for all handling and counselor was able to scan for microchip (negative) collar and photograph. Toots did not mind being picked up and was easily replaced to the carrier.
