***SAFE 08/19/15***TERRIFIC TRIO OF MINI PANTHERS NEED YOU! Vince, Mick and Tommy are an adorable family that desperately needs us to advocate for their precious lives tonight. Vince & Mick (girls) along with their fur bro (Tommy) and sister Nikki (status unknown) came into the shelter purrfectly healthy. Now that they have a couple of curable kitty sniffles, these adorable babies are slated to become three more sad ACC stats when tomorrow afternoon rolls around. These siblings are loving, playful and ready to bestow a lifetime of love and affection on their new purrson (or purrsons). Can you open up your heart and home to this precious family? Please reserve Vince, Mick and Tommy online or contact a NH rescue who can help with transportation. If you live within an hour of NYC, let a rescue know if you can foster. Let’s write a happy ending for this terrific trio of mini panthers’ sad tale.

07/26/15 15:11 Litter Mates : Vince : A1045459 Mick : A1045460 Tommy : A1045461 Nikki : A1045462 Tommy is an all black male cat who is approximately 2 mos. old. Tommy is a stray who came to ACC today with his litter mates. Tomy was eating cat food and appears healthy and was socializing with his litter mates. Tommy was initially nervous meowing often and appeared comfortable and calm only in the presence of his litter mates. Tommy did not allow himself to be collared and photographed due to his nervousness. Tommy appears to have the ability to adjust to new environments and socialize with cats and it appears Tommy will need some time to learn to adjust to people.

07/30/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Tommy was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and and interact with him in a limited way. I was also able to pick him up and although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: retreats Reaction to touch: seems indifferent to my presence and touch Try picking cat up: Tommy was tense while being handled Placement Determination: Experience

A volunteer writes: Tommy is a tiny little Tom cat. What’s not to love about this sweet little guy? He will play until he knocks himself out. After a quick power nap with his siblings, Tommy is up and at ’em again. He will chase cat toys and cat tails with equal amounts of determination. He is just adorable. Come in and see for yourself.
