*** SAFE 06/02/15 *** EVERY WOMAN CRAZY BOUT A SHARP DRESSED MANCAT!! Oh TOM!!!! He’s adorable, isn’t he? He was given up because his owner has cancer and simply was too ill to care for TOM, who is himself, 17 years young. Now Tom has a few health issues to be sure-but, look at those Paul Newman blue eyes and that appealing ‘come get me now, babe’ expresson! How could you now rush right down to scoop him up? Or work with a rescue to take Tom as a ‘Forever Foster’ and save his precious life-don’t let this guy’s life end tomorrow-he’s got alot of livin’ to do! SAVE TOM TONIGHT!!! HE DOESN’T HAVE ANOTHER EVENING TO SPARE!!!

I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 05/27/2015 from NY 10466, owner surrender reason stated was OWNER SICK.

05/27/15 16:50 BASIC INFO: Tom A1037763 is a 17 year old SnowShoe cat. He was a gift to the Owner from a Family member. The owner has had the cat since 1998, and cannot care for the cat any longer due to the Owner having Cancer. SOCIALIZATION: Around strangers, Tom is really friendly. He plays gently with Adults. He has never lived with another animal. and he has never lived with children either. He has never bitten or scratched anyone. BEHAVIOR: Tom, according to it’s Owner does not have any behavior issues. He has never rode in a car. Tom always uses it’s litterbox. Tom enjoys getting a sponge bath. He has never had his nails trimmed. He enjoys having his coat brushed, being picked up and placed in a carrier.. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW: The best way to describe Tom is by saying that he is friendly, affectionate, and playful. He has a low activity level mostly lays around. Owner liked the most that Tom would just stare at him while he ate breakfast and meow so that it would be fed. Tom’s favorite activities are to eat and sleep. At home he stays in his favorite spot. He enjoys playing with balls. He would be better off in a home where he will be loved. Tom was mainly kept indoors. He sleeps in a cat bed, and eats both wet and dry food any brand, 3 times a day. Tom is litter boxed trained. He uses an uncovered box and uses Fresh Step cat litter. Tom does not have a scratching post and does not scratch. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE: Tom was very sweet and loveable upon intake and seeking attention.
