09/24/15 14:07 Basic Information: Toby is a 5 year old altered male domestic shorthair. He was adopted from AC&C in 2010. Owner stated Toby appears to be healthy and has no health concerns. Owner surrenders Toby due to moving to a new place that doesn’t accept pets. Social Life and Personality: Toby lived with two adults and been around children but keeps his distance around children. Owner stated Toby is respectful and tolerant toward everyone he meets. Toby behavior is unknown towards cats but he lived with a dog that was a Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix. He was respectful and tolerant towards the dog. Toby is an indoor/outdoor cat and activity level is to a medium. Owner describes Toby as friendly and quiet. Behavior Issues: Toby has never bitten or scratched anyone to owner’s knowledge. Owner stated his behavior is good. He was never given a bath or nail trim. He isn’t bothered by being picked up and held or disturb while sleeping. For a New Family to Know: Toby is litter box trained which is located in the basement. He doesn’t play with toys and spends some of his time outside and in the basement looking out the window. He likes to follow owner around the house and gentle. He eats wet and dry food any brand as long as the flavor is fish. Intake Behavior: Upon intake Toby was calm and relaxed. He scanned positive for a microchip and allowed all handling.

Toby is described as friendly and quiet. Notes: Toby at the time of the assessment was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, tolerates all petting. When attempting to pick Toby up he became uncomfortable and tried to bite. Toby is displaying behavior appropriate for a experienced cat owner. Reaction to assessor: at the front of the cage, laying down watching assessor When spoken quietly: stays at front, starts to soliciting attention Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention Try picking cat up: Toby is not tolerant of this type of handling and may attempt to bite Placement Determination: Experience
