09/29/15 11:42 Basic Information: Toby is an 8 year old unaltered domestic medium hair. He was bred at home. He appears to be health and has not health concerns owner stated. Toby was surrendered due to living arrangements. Social Life and Personality: Toby lived with two adults and been around children. Owner stated Toby is relaxed, respectful and tolerant towards everyone in the household. Toby lived with another cat name Nina A1053152 who is his mom. Owner stated they were respectful and tolerant of each other except when Nina was in heat they will fight. Owner stated they will do best in seperate homes. Toby behavior is unknown towards dogs. He’s indoors only and activity level is to a medium. Owner describes Toby as shy, quiet and independent. Behavior Issues: Owner stated Toby never bitten or scratched anyone to his knowledge. Owner describes Toby behavior as good. He was never given a bath or nail trim. He doesn’t like to be picked up and held. For a New Family to Know: Toby is litter box trained and uses an uncovered litter box. He doesn’t play with toys and never had a scratching post. Owner stated he rarely seeks attention and does her own thing. He eats wet and dry food called Purina and sleep anywhere in the house. Intake Behavior: Upon intake Toby attempt to flee and was nervous. He showed no signs of aggression and allowed all handling when approached slow. Toby scanned negative for a microchip.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
The previous owner reports that Toby has lived with two adults and has been around children. He is relaxed, respectful, and tolerant towards everyone in the home. He has lived with a female cat and was tolerant and respectful around her, but they would get into scuffles when she was in heat. He dislikes being picked up and held. He was described as shy, quiet, and independent with a medium activity level. Reaction to Assessor: Toby was calm and relaxed inside his hidey box, but peeking out with his head. Reaction when softly spoken to: Toby looks at the assessor, and then looks away. Reaction to cage door opening: Toby sticks his head back into the box. Reaction to touch: Toby focuses on the assessor’s hand and shifts away from it. He allows gentle touch, but flinches and tries to avoid it. He was unable to be coaxed out from the box. Placement Determination: Experience Toby tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
