SAFE 04/14/15 – DINAH – A1031728 – BROOKLYN, NY
4-14-2015
DYNAMIC DINAH CAUGHT THE SHELTER COLD AND THIS POOR SCARED GIRL WILL NOW DIE BEFORE SHE CAN FIND A REAL HOME! Dinah was brought in as a stray but she allowed handling and petting on her evaluation, giving her a good EXPERIENCE rating. She is only afraid, which is normal for any cat. Dinah would love for her rescue angel to come for her tonight so she doesn’t have to find out what the ACC has planned for her tomorrow afternoon. She is only 5 yrs old and has many years ahead of her if you can CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HER TO SAFETY.

04/08/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Dinah was brought to the shelter as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer but after a steady low approach using soft voices she relaxed a little and I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless (2) Reaction to touch: seems indifferent to my presence and touch (2) Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Placement Determination: Experience
