SAFE 04/11/15 – TEDDY – A1031688 – BROOKLYN, NY
4-11-2015
Teddy is a laid-back young dude who is perfectly handsome and ready to meet his hero tomorrow morning. Teddy was found as a stray and has the common sense to be wary of his shelter environment—hence, his EXPERIENCE rating—but he warms up quite nicely, and should be given the chance to live a long, happy life. His story ends abruptly at the end of a needle, tomorrow, unless someone steps up for him tonight. Please help him!

04/02/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Teddy was brought to the shelter as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer but after a steady low approach using soft voices she relaxed a little and I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. Although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless (2) Reaction to touch: seems indifferent to my presence and touch (2) Reaction to toy or novel object: shows no interest in playing (3) Try picking cat up: Did not attempt. Placement Deremination: Experience
