SAFE 04/12/15 – ADELAIDE -A1032374 – MANHATTAN, NY
4-12-2015
Adelaide is a beautiful young lady who was found by someone that already had a houseful of pets. This person took her in and gave her a chance, but the pet personalities were too different….and we’re all familiar with that hoary old chesnut of “last one in, first one out.” Adelaide is frightened by the ACC and that is reflected in her New Hope rating, but please note! Her finder describes a kind, cuddly girl and that is the true Adelaide. Please make sure a New Hope partner pulls her to safety by advocating voraciously for Adelaide, tonight!

04/09/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Adelaide looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Adelaide remains sitting upright on her cage bedding, alert with pupils fully dilated. Reaction to touch: Adelaide avoids contact, retreats to the back, hisses, and attempts to swat at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Adelaide is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
