I am a neutered male brn tabby and white domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 17 YEARS old.

I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 08/03/2015 from NY 10462, owner surrender reason stated was MOVE2PRIVA.

08/03/15 19:53 Tito A1046548 is a 17yr old neutered male brown tabby & white feline who was given to the owner at 3months of age and is being surrendered due to the landlord finding out out him. Tito hasn’t been to the veterinarian in a few years but currently has no known health issues/injuries. Socialization: Around strangers Tito is shy for a few minutes. He’s lived with a 9yr old child and he’s relaxed and gentle with, also with adults. Tito doesn’t play much at all these days but he enjoys to be picked up, held and brushed. Tito lived in the home with a Turtle but they didn’t interact. Tito hasn’t been around other cats or dogs. Behavior: During car rides Tito will meow/cry initially then is quiet. Tito struggles to get away during bath time. He isn’t bothered by having his nails trimmed, being placed into a carrier. He enjoys being brushed, picked up/held. He hasn’t been disturbed while sleeping/resting. For a New Family to Know: Tito is friendly, affectionate, mellow & quiet with a low activity level. The owner likes how chill/mellow he is. Tito enjoys being brushed and petted. When the owner is home Tito follows them around sometimes if not he’ll stay at the window and people watch. Tito doesn’t play with toys but if he sees a mouse (a real mouse) he’ll “play around with it”. Tito is an indoor only cat who sleeps in his mesh carrier. Tito eats Meow Mix wet & dry food. He has no litter box issues, his litter box is hooded with crystal litter within. He has a carpet cat tower as a scratching post. Intake Behavior: Tito allowed all handling. He allowed us to scan (-), collar and take his pictures. During his photo shoot he noticed a cat in a cat kennel and hissed at them but remained motionless. Once we were done he allowed us to pick him up and place him into a kennel then out and into a carrier for transport with ease.

Reaction to assessor: Tito looks neutral in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Tito remains lying down on his cage bedding, immobile in place. Reaction to touch: Tito stands in place with tail slightly down, accepts the stroke and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: He becomes antsy and jumps back into his cage. Placement determination: Average Tito interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
