I am a male brn tabby and white domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 1 YEAR 1 MONTH old.

I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 07/27/2015 from NY 11417, owner surrender reason stated was PERS PROB.

07/27/15 12:48 Basic Info: Tito is a domestic short hair cat that is a little over a year old. He was found last year when he was just a month old on his prior owner’s doorstep. She bottle fed him and everything. She was forced to surrender Tito to a local shelter because she is having some personal issues and doesn’t have adequate space for Tito at this time. Social life and Personality: He has not been around any children before so his behaviors are unknown. All of the clien’t children are adults and don’t live with ther mom anymore. However Tito is said to be super sweet when anyone comes around. Tito has been around other cats and is described as relaxed, affectionate, and playful. When he interacts with them he could be exuberant but always gentle. He has not been around dogs so his behaviors are unknown. He is litter box trained, kept mostly, and has a medium level of energy. TITO IS LEASHED TRAINED! His prior owner said he was a natural and didn’t have to be trained much. When she picks up his harness, he gets excited and vocal. Client stated he allows the harness to be put on, and when outside, stays close by his owner. Behavior: He has not bitten or scratched anyone or any animal before. He was not bothered when owner gave him a bath before or having his fur brushed. He also is very tolerant getting his nails clipped. He isn’t afraid of being picked up. Client stated he will come to you for attention regularly. New Family Info: He is used to clumping or crystal litter inside an uncovered box and scratched on a door or wall but was never given a scratching post to use as an alternative. He was fed dry food only any brand. Intake Behavior: During intake Jumaro showed no signs of aggression and allowed to be scanned (negative), collared, pictured, and transferred. When outside the carrier would attempt to flee but once inside carrier would sit at front and when given food would eat. He was very talkative throughout intake.

Owner Profile: Tito was bought into the care center by his previous owner due to the previous owner having personal issues. Tito has not been around any children before so his behaviors are unknown. However Tito is said to be super sweet when anyone comes around. Tito has been around other cats and is described as relaxed, affectionate, and playful. When he interacts with them he could be exuberant but always gentle. He has not been around dogs so his behaviors are unknown. He is litter box trained and has a medium level of energy. Tito is leash trained. His prior owner said he was a natural and didn’t have to be trained much. When she picks up his harness, he gets excited and vocal. They also stated he allows the harness to be put on, and when outside, stays close by his owner. Notes: Tito at the time of the assessment was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Tito becomes focused on other things. His tail also starts to flicker and he seems to become overstimulated. Tito is displaying behavior appropriate for a experience cat owner. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, is calm, relaxed and friendly When spoken quietly: comes to the front of cage, appears curious, sniffs hand Reaction to door cage opening: soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention, head butts, rubs on hand, becomes focused on other things, tail starts to flicker Try picking cat up: Tito allowed handling for a brief time for starting struggling to placed down Placement Determination: Experience
