04/11/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Tiry came to us as a stray 4/08/15. Upon intake the finder stated that Tiry seems to be friendly with most people and allowed the finder to pick her up. Tiry can be seen in the cage with neutral body language when approaching the kennel. When spoken to quietly she hissed at the assessor, and became a bit tense. She does allow the assessor to touch her, and does begin to solicit attention from the assessor with head rubs and soft meowing. The behavior department recommends that Tiry go to a home with an experienced owner with no small children, who can give Tiry time to acclimate to her environment. Reaction to assessor: Does not come to the front but remains neutral (2) When spoken to quietly: Hisses at you (3) Reaction to cage door opening: Remains motionless or does not respond (2) Reaction to touch: Solicits petting and attention -rubs, chirps, meows (1)
