***GONE 10/30/15***15 year old TIGERO had lived with 3 SHIH TZUS and was playful with them. But he was brought into the ACC for a reason unknown. What is known, is this NEUTERED guy has a laundry list of issues that are wrong with him from embedded nails to filthy fur! Whoever had this cat DID NOT take care of him! And now,TIGERO is naturally frightened and tries to bite and so has the RESCUE ONLY rating! This guy needs someone to contact a NEW HOPE RESCUE and offer to FOSTER or ADOPT or the golden years of this ADORABLE senior will be cut short! How can you live to be 15 and die in a dirty shelter? Don’t let this happen to TIGERO! Offer to save his life TODAY… Tomorrow may just be too late!

10/26/15 10:06 Basic Information Tigero was brought in as a stray; Tigero lived in the client’s yard. Client says Tigero interacted with her three Shi Tzu’s and she says he was always very playful with them. Behavior during Intake Tigero was initially friendly during intake. He immediately accepted food and allowed counselor to pet him on the top of his head. When attempting to touch Tigero’s body he began to hiss, attempt to bite, and swat. Tigero had to be toweled in order to place inside of carrier.

Client says Tigero interacted with her three Shi Tzu’s and she says he was always very playful with them. Reaction to assessor: Tigero looked neutral in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Tigero remains lying down on his cage bedding, immobile in place. Reaction to touch: Tigero accepted a stroke, but began to meow whine in place then became agitated with the touch and swatted at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience / no child Tigero tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
