TIGER LILY – A1053337
Gone 10-15-2015 Manhattan
**GONE 10/15/15** TIGER LILY is a cushiony 10-year-old gent who was very happy living with the only family he has ever known….but his much-loved people have new living arrangemeets which, supposedly, cannot include him. It is clear that he knew where the food bowl was and in fact, he is uncomfortable with being picked up since it is probably painful for him on account of his size. This love able boy is reported as being a mellow friend to people of all ages, kids included, and his EXPERIENCE rating shows he is just a tiny bit rattled by being torn from his whole wide world. This guy needs some TLC with new foster/adoptive owners who will let him settle into his new surroundings, and possibly help him attain a sleek physique. Please share Tiger Lily relentlessly, tonight!

10/01/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/01/15 09:23 BASIC INFO Tiger Lily’s family got him from a neighbor 10 years ago. They are moving in with their parents to take care of them and their parents are allergic to cats, so they can’t keep Tiger any longer. SOCIALIZATION Tiger is friendly/outgoing with strangers. He spent time with children of all ages and is relaxed, affectionate, and tolerant with them. He plays gently with people. He spent time with a neighbor’s cat in the hallway. They sniffed each other and were relaxed together. He’s never bit or scratched anyone. BEHAVIOR Tiger is relaxed in the car. He doesn’t mind when his owner brushes him, picks up/holds him, puts him in a carrier, or wakes him up. He hisses when new people pick him up, possibly because it’s uncomfortable due to his size. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Tiger’s family describes him as friendly, affectionate, mellow, quiet, and medium energy. He follows his family around and sits in their laps. He plays with balls. He lived inside, slept on a pillow, and ate wet food. He’s littertrained, uses a hooded litterbox with clumping litter, and doesn’t have accidents. He scratched a horizontal scratching post made of wood and cardboard and didn’t scratch furniture. INTAKE Tiger walked into his kennel. He had a soft body and head butted and rubbed against us continuously while we pet, scanned (-), and collared him. He rubbed against his kennel door when we were nearby. He hissed and flicked his tail while we picked him up and tried to position him for pictures. He jumped to the floor and walked around. He hissed and growled quietly while we picked him up and carried him back to his kennel, but he didn’t swat or resist. He resumed a soft body in his kennel while we took his pictures. He may react to being picked up because it’s uncomfortable due to his large size.

As per the previous owner, Tiger Lily is friendly and outgoing with strangers. He spent time with children of all ages and is relaxed, affectionate, and tolerant with them. He plays gently with people and spent some time with a neighbor’s cat in the hallway. He was relaxed with the cat and has never bitten or scratched anyone. He doesn’t mind when the owner brushes him, picks him up, holds him, puts him in a carrier, or wakes him up. He hisses when new people pick him up, possibly because it’s uncomfortable due to his size. Tiger Lily’s family describes him as friendly, affectionate, mellow, quiet, and medium energy. He follows his family around and sits in their laps. Reaction to assessor: Tiger Lily was calm and relaxed by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Tiger Lily attempts to sniff the assessor and rubs his head on the cage door. Reaction to cage door opening: Tiger Lily remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Tiger Lily head-butts, walks on the assessor’s lap, and continues to rub his cheeks on the assessor’s hand. Reaction to being picked up: Tiger Lily struggles to get away and hisses. He starts to growl when put back down, but still allows petting and attention. Behavior Determination: Experience Tiger Lily interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, and tolerates all petting, but may dislike being picked up by strangers because of his girth. He may need to get used to people before being comfortable with this type of handling. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents who will allow him to adjust to them before attempting to pick him up.
