TIGER – A1040037

***SAFE 07/03/15 **** SUPER RARE THIRD CHANCE ON DEATH ROW FOR TIGER!!!! TIGER, TIGER BURNING BRIGHT…’ so goes the poem. On Saturday a much beloved cat pulled from ‘Death Row’ some weeks ago had to be put to sleep due to incurable illness. That cats name was Tiger Tim. Tonight, we have Tiger, a cat who has been hanging out at ACC since 6/13/2015 with a hurt leg that does, thankfully, seem to be ‘doing well’ as per ACC. However, no one has bothered to sedate him to take an xray!!!!!! This is Tiger’s second time at risk. It may well be his last. If a cat has ever needed a ‘hail mary’ save, it’s him. In Memory of beloved Tiger Tim, who was saved…will someone offer to foster this boy? He’s a nice cat-he’s soliciting petting, and wants a hero-needs a hero. Want to feel good about life and know you have made a difference? SAVE TIGER TONIGHT!!!! A rescue can help-but please, please save TIGER! If ever a cat is beloved-it’s this boy who’s been laying there without vet care except pain meds since 6/13. Don’t let him wait another day-SAVE TIGER TONIGHT!!!! CONTACT A RESCUE NOW!! NO TIME TO WAIT!!

06/29/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Tiger’s behavior has improved during his stay. He is now social and interactive, seeking out attention and allowing all petting and handling. Reaction to assessor: Tiger comes to the front of the cage when approached. Reaction to cage door opening: Remains at the front of the cage. Reaction to touch: Tiger head butts and solicits attention by rubbing on the assessor’s hands. He allows a gentle pick up in the cage. Placement determination: Average Tiger interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents. 6/17 eval: Reaction to assessor: Tiger looks neutral in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Tiger remains hiding in his cat den, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Tiger began to roll over in place then accepts the stroke. However, during the touch he low growls at the assessor’s hand and becomes cautious. Placement determination: Experience / no child Tiger tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
