TIFFANY – A1051984
Gone 9-30-2015 Manhattan
**GONE 09/30/15** TIFFANY is a senior sweetie who wound up at the ACC when her former owner passed away. The neighbor who brought her in said Tiffany was a doll with her, and was also aware that Tiffany took medication for something…..but no medicine was brought in with Tiffany, so who knows how long it has been since she has received proper care? The shelter thinks she might have chronic renal failure, but considering that they normally have trouble telling what gender a cat is, it’s best to not get too hung up on that guesstimation right now. the MOST IMPORTANT thing is finding a FOSTER or ADOPTER for TIFFANY, and also, getting PLEDGES lined up for her! A devoted family pet should NOT be killed by the shelter, simply because the former owner died. Make sure TIFFANY gets out of the ACC alive by sharing her far and wide for a FOSTER/ADOPTER, tonight!

09/19/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/19/15 10:57 Tiffany belonged to an elderly woman who recently passed away. Her neighbor had been visiting Tiffany and her owner and knew them. She brought Tiffany to us. She reports that Tiffany is friendly and affectionate with her. She likes to sleep on top of a pillow. She eats well, especially pate wet food, but is thin. She uses her litterbox. Tiffany meowed on the way here in her neighbor’s tote bag. Tiffany scanned negative for a MC. She hissed and swatted at us and then retreated to the back of her kennel. We took her picture in her kennel.

09/28/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Please note that this cat is being treated for a significant medical condition. We cannot be sure how this condition may be influencing her behavior in the care center, so we advise that her behavior may change as her medical condition is addressed. Reaction to assessor: Tiffany does not come to the front, but remains neutral. Reaction when softly spoken to: Tiffany does not come to the front, but remains neutral. Reaction to cage door opening: Tiffany remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Tiffany solicits petting and attention – rubbing against the assessor’s hand. After a while, she becomes over stimulated and starts grumbling and lashing her tail. Behavior Determination: Experienced, no children. Tiffany tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She is social and affectionate but appears to be easily overstimulated. As a result of this observed behavior we recommend adopters who are familiar with signs of behavioral arousal and agitation in cats, so that interactions can be ended before Tiffany becomes overstimulated. We also recommend fishing pole-type toys for play as they allow for interaction and vigorous, stimulating exercise while keeping human hands at a distance.
