Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Thread came to us as a stray on 5/20/15. Upon intake it was reported that Thread had a low growl through his intake but allowed to be handled. When approaching Thread’s kennel the assessor can see thread with neutral body language. He became uncomfortable in the assessor’s presence and tried to retreat when the cage door was opened. Thread allowed the assessor to touch him softly but showed some concerning behavior as he started to growl at the assessor. The behavior department believes that Thread would do best if placed with a rescue group that can provide positive behavior modification for him. Reaction to assessor: ignores you completely (2) When spoken to quietly: attempts to hide from you once you start to speak (3) Reaction to cage door opening: retreats (3) Reaction to touch: growls or hisses at you (4)
