Target has no known health issues & has been surrendered to ACC due to owner’s move to a residence that does not allow pets. Target has no known health issues & has not been to a vet within the last year. SOCIALIZATION: Target has not lived or been exposed to children. Target has lived with one senior & one adult. He gets along very well with adults & strangers. Target has not lived with other cats, dogs or small animals. Target is litter box trained & his activity level is very high. He is best described as a playful, friendly & affectionate cat. Target has not bitten or scratched anyone or another animal. BEHAVIOR: Target allows grooming & trimming of his nails. Target will give owner a struggle when he is placed inside of carrier. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW: Target uses clumping & clay litter inside of an uncovered litter box. Target enjoys playing with balls & bottle caps. Target needs a scratching post made of carpet & fabric. When owner is home, Target will follow owner around. Target plays gently with owner. Target is fearful when taken outside of his home. Target enjoys eating dry food & enjoys tuna as a treat. Target enjoys sleeping with owner. Target loves to have fresh water at all times. BEHAVIOR UPON INTAKE: Target appeared to be tense & nervous. Target was panting & highly stressed. He allowed all handling and appeared to relax when placed in cat carrier. Target scanned negative.

Target is litter box trained & his activity level is very high. He is best described as a playful, friendly and affectionate cat. Notes: At the time of the assessment Target was displaying shy behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Target is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, calm, relaxed When spoken quietly: does not come to front but looks at you, calm, relaxed Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: backs away slightly but comes foward again and allows petting and attention Try picking cat up: Target allows handling but becomes slightly nervous Placement Determination: Average
