I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 08/19/2015 from NY 11221, owner surrender reason stated was PET HEALTH.

Notes: Tapenade was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Tapenade is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but appears calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: does not come to front but appears calm and relaxed Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed, follows my hand to the front of the cage Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention, purrs, affectionate Try picking cat up: Tapenade remains calm while purring Placement Determination: Beginner
