***GONE 06/24/15***TANK TOP TIME: PURRFECT FOR SUMMER AND FUREVER! Sad sigh! Tank Top has been at the shelter since 4/14 and has made the dreaded list tonight. Check out this awesome from a staff member, “Get out your flip flops, put on your sunglasses, and don’t forget to grab your Tank Top! Now that the warmer weather is upon us, it is officially Tank Top season which means that this friendly older gal is ripe for adoption. Sweet and affectionate, this lady can’t wait to spend the Summer season at home with you! Another staff member writes: In a room full of cats, she was the one who caught my eye. Her beauty stands out, like in a movie where everything else goes out of focus, and there is only her. She is exquisite. Imperiously, she demanded petting from me. I was powerless to resist. It was difficult not to stare at her. I had to slow-blink to appease her. She then leaned in for petting, which she clearly enjoyed, closing her eyes and tilting her head to get more. But she would occasionally check me out with her haughty expression. She reminded me of my beautiful but heartbroken and cranky maiden aunt who would slap my wrist. True to form, Tank Top nipped my inner wrist, reminding me to give her my full attention. She gave me an admonishing glare, then leaned back into my hand to let me know that she wanted the petting session to resume. This time, I made sure I did not take my eyes off her. She rewarded me with purrs and languid tail swishes. But I caution anyone who fall for beautiful, cranky, loveable Auntie Tank Top: she is quite selective of whom she wants to live with. Not everyone meets with her approval. She will only get along with an experienced human who is alert and focused. If you are that human-one who understands cats and cranky aunts-then Tank Top is the trophy cat for you.” If that doesn’t make you want to contact a rescue to reserve this precious 10 year old black and white sweetie, we don’t know what will. Tank Top is ready to be your furever home. Won’t you please open up your heart and home to this long-time shelter resident?
