08/18/15 15:52 Basic Information: Tango is a 5 year old altered male domestic shorthair. He was found as a stray and the one litter of kittens. Owner surrenders Tango due to living situation. Social Life and Personality: Tango lived with 2 adults and been around children. Owner stated Tango is fearful towards everyone in the house. He can be relaxed and tolerant when he wants attention. Tango lived with 2 other cats Chi Chi A1048292 and Mumbo who is her son A1048295. Owner stated Tango is bonded towards the two other cats in a home but don’t have to be adopted out together. Tango also lived with another cat and dog that didn’t belong to owner and owner stated he wasn’t interested with other animals. He is indoors only and activity level is high. Owner stated Tango is playful, mellow, and quiet. Behavior Issues: Tango never bitten or scratched anyone owner stated. Tango has a habit of scratching on rugs and not the scratching post. Tango was never given a bath or nail trim. Tango is afraid of being picked up and held but will tolerant it for a while. For a New Family to Know: Tango is litter box trained and shares an uncovered litter box with two other cats. He likes to play with strings, mice toys and earphones. Tango likes to follow owner around the house or be in the same room as owner. He eats dry food called Fancy Fest with a full bowl all day. Intake Behavior: Upon intake Tango was calm and relaxed. He scanned negative for a microchip and allowed all handling.

Reaction to Assessor: Tango was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. He comes to the front and sniffs the assessor’s hand when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Tango remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Tango remains in place for petting, head-butt, and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Tango remains calm and allows handling. As per previous owner, Tango has lived with two adults and was exposed to children. They state that Tango is fearful around everyone in the home. He can be relaxed and tolerant when he wants attention, though. He has lived with 2 other cats and is well behaved around them. He is described as playful, mellow, and quiet with a high activity level. Tango is afraid of being picked up and held but will tolerant it for a while. Behavior Determination: Average Tango interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
