03/26/15 12:48 Cat Name: Tango Reason for surrender: Owner stated Tango is wild Relationship: Owner had Tango for over a year adopted from AC&C People: Tango lived with adults and children of all ages. Tango is relaxed and affectionate towards everyone in the household. Other Animals: Tango behavior is unknown towards cats but he is relaxed and affectionate around dogs. Personality/Habits: Owner stated Tango listens and comes on commands. His activity level is high and often keeps himself busy. He likes to play with himself at night, balls, and stuffed toys. He enjoys being picked up and held. He has a scratching post made out of carpet and fabric. Tango likes to follow owner around the house, be in the same room as owner or stay in his favorite spot which is the window. Owner stated Tango is playful and friendly. Training: Tango is litter box trained and indoors only. The litter box he uses is automatic and cleaned out daily. Feeding: Tango eats only dry food twice a day. Behavior upon intake: Upon intake Tango was nervous but when approached slowly he allowed all handling. He scanned positive for a microchip.

Owner Profile: Tango was bought into the shelter by his previous owner because he to active. Tango lived with adults and children of all ages. It was stated that Tango is relaxed and affectionate towards everyone in the household. Tango behavior is unknown towards cats but he is relaxed and affectionate around dogs. Tango is litter box trained. Notes: At the time of the assessment he was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Tango is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: comes to the front of the cage, soliciting, rubbing against the cage front (1) When spoken quietly: stays at front, continues soliciting attention (1) Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed (1) Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention (1) Reaction to toy or novel object: play with the object gently (1) Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling.
