***SAFE 05/29/15*** YOU WOULD THINK BEING A 9 WEEK OLD KITTEN WOULD MEAN LOTS OF PLAY TIME, FUN AND CHASING CATNIP MICE – BUT THIS 9 WEEK OLD BABY NAMED TAFFY IS FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE TONIGHT AS HE DIES AT NOON FRIDAY!!! Yes folks, we have a ferocious kitten here according to the ACC. Someone trapped a scared 9 week old kitten and thinking he would find a home by the efforts of the ACC staff, dumped him at the ACC. Well because TAFFY is afraid and not allowing handling, he got slapped with a NEW HOPE RATING even though he is PERFECTLY HEALTHY. TAFFY is only 9 weeks old! Do you think a 9 week old kitten WOULDN’T be scared in a noisy scary shelter? And wouldn’t you think staff would try and place him with a foster who could socialize him? No – it’s so much easier to kill a perfectly healthy kitten. FOLKS LET’S ADVOCATE FOR THIS BABY TONIGHT – CONTACT A NEW HOPE RESCUE TO PULL HIM TO SAFETY. FOSTERING IS FREE AND YOU CAN FOSTER THIS BOY TIL HE IS ABLE TO BE ADOPTED. GIVE HIM A CHANCE TO LIVE!! ACT NOW!!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Taffy looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Taffy remains hiding in his cat den, yowling in place. Reaction to touch: Taffy avoids contact, hisses at the assessor’s hand and attempts to escape. Placement determination: NH ONLY Taffy is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room.
