SYRUP – A1044263
7-28-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 07/28/15*** SUPER SWEET SYRUP WAS DUMPED AT THE RIPE AGE OF 15 BECAUSE A FAMILY MEMBER WAS ALLERGIC!! NOW HE DIES WITHOUT RESCUE! SYRUP lived with his owner since he was 1 month old. For some reason 15 years have gone by and NOW someone is allergic. He lived with 2 other cats in the home and was said to be a mellow guy. A volunteer writes: Lets super-size it with Syrup. This big guy is as gentle as they come. He can move his large body around with the agility of a frisky kitten. And oh what a gentle sweet soul he is and friendly too boot! When you approach his cage he will twist himself to get so close to you and engage in play. He really loves attention and affection. Come and greet this big boy today! SYRUP NEEDS A RETIREMENT HOME WHERE HE CAN RELAX ON A WINDOWSILL AND MAYBE WATCH THE BIRDS. HE IS A LAID BACK CAT AND WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR TV COMPANION! CONTACT A RESCUE TO PULL SYRUP TO SAFETY NOW!!!

Syrup would allow his owner to trim his nails without trouble. Syrup enjoys being pet and sometimes brushed. Syrups would follow the owner around the house and he would hear loud sounds, he would investigate instead of running away. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Syrup is a friendly and independent cat. Syrup is accustomed to using Fresh Step crystal litter in an uncovered litter box. He had a vertical scratching post with an emery board side and a corkscrew side. He would lie on the owner’s leather sofa without scratching it. DURING INTAKE Syrup was meowing while in his carrier. When the door was opened he approached the Admissions Counselor.
