SWEETIE – A1031615
4-5-2015
SAD AND SCARED SWEETIE NEEDS YOU! Two year old Sweetie is yet another fab feline whose finder thought they were doing her a favor by dumping her at the ACC. A woman had Sweetie for a week, after finding her outside her home and noted that she was “frisky, loves to play, tolerated company and handling.” She claims she tried to find her a new home but just after a few short days, decided to surrender her to the kill happy shelter. Poor Sweetie is positively petrified and is acting out. Who can blame her? She must feel totally betrayed by the person who took her in for a week before giving her up to the kitty death camp. Let’s do everything we can to turn things around for Sweetie tonight. Please contact a NH rescue if you can offer her a new leash on life. Save a life. Make a difference.

03/31/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Sweetie growls and hisses upon approach. When softly spoken to, she focuses on the assessor and continues to growl. Her ears are bent flat against her head. Reaction to cage door opening: Sweetie charges at the door and spits and swats at the assessor’s hand. Reaction to touch: Sweetie does not allow touch; she continues to hiss, growl, spit, and swat at the hand. Note: Sweetie was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. The finder said she kept her for about a week until she decided to bring her into the care center. In their home, they reported her to be frisky and loves to play. She allowed the finder to pick her up without showing aggressive behaviors, but wasn’t very affectionate. She enjoyed running around the house. Behavior Determination: NH ONLY Sweetie is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. She has tried to swat, scratch, bite, and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
