Sweetie is a 12 year old spayed black and white domestic shorthair cat. She was surrendered by her owner due to health issues. She is described as shy and mellow by her owner.
Social Life and Personality:
Sweetie has been around children, and is relaxed and playful. She plays very gentle and her owner says she is tolerant around small children and allows them to pet her. She hasn’t been around dogs and he has only been around his littermate Pinky. She is litterbox trained and has been kept mostly indoors. Her activity level is described as low, she likes to sleep and lounge.
Sweetie struggles and is afraid of baths, she will attempt to flee. She also struggles while being put in a carrier or crate. She enjoys grooming and being held.
For a new family to know:
Sweetie uses pellet litter and is used to an uncovered litterbox. She doesn’t play with toys and has never used a scratching post. When home she tends to be around her owner and follow them around. While in the car she meows and cries. She eats both wet and dry food; Fancy feast and Frisky and is free fed. She likes to sleep on her owner’s bed or on the couch.
Upon intake Sweetie was tense and had a firm body, she retreated to back of carrier, she allowed handling.
