She is a lovely tuxie who is very fearful at the ACC. Imagine being tossed out of your home and into the world of the ACC…..PLEASE CONSIDER ADDING SWEETHEART TO YOUR FAMILY TONIGHT!!. We see the list of GONE cats growing and we need more people to step up to prevent that!! If you can’t ADOPT, please FOSTER. 07/08/15 16:54 Basic Information: Sweetheart is a year old unaltered female black and white domestic shorthair. Sweetheart was given to owner three months ago. Sweetheart had three kittens that are two months old. Owner had to surrender Sweetheart due to no time. Social Life and Personality: Sweetheart lived with one male adult and has been around children. Sweetheart runs away from children but once the children picks her up she is respectful and tolerant. Sweetheart lived with 3 other kittens that she gave birth too who are A 1043214, A1043217 and A1043218. Sweetheart is affectionate and respectful towards the kittens. Sweetheart behavior is unknown towards dogs. Sweetheart is indoors only and activity level is very high. Owner stated Sweetheart is playful, friendly, and fearful at times. Behavior Issues: Sweetheart never bitten or scratched anyone to owner’s knowledge. She isn’t bothered by taking bath but never had a nail trim. She enjoys being brushed and picked up. She isn’t bothered by being put in carrier or disturb while sleeping. For a New Family to Know: Sweetheart is litter box trained and shared a litter box with three other kittens. She likes to play with balls and bottle caps. She follows owner around the house or be in her favorite spot which is the living room. Sweetheart eats wet and dry food called Meow mix twice a day. Intake Behavior: Upon intake Sweetheart was hissing and eyes were dilated. She scanned negative for a microchip. No collaring and limited handling was performed.

Owner Profile: Sweetheart was bought into the care center by her previous owner due to having no time to care for Sweetheart. Sweetheart lived with one adult and has been around children. Sweetheart runs away from children but once the children picks her up she is respectful and tolerant. Sweetheart lived with three of her kittens. Sweetheart is affectionate and respectful towards the kittens. Sweetheart behavior is unknown towards dogs. Sweetheart is indoors only and activity level is very high. The previous owner stated Sweetheart is playful, friendly, and fearful at times. Notes: Sweetheart at the time of the assessment was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front , becomes nervous Reaction to door cage opening: retreats, wide eyes Reaction to touch: tries to aviod being touched, allows limited petting, stands on hind legs with back against the wall Try picking cat up: Did not attempt , appears fearful Placement Determination: Experience
