SUNKIST – A1054743
Safe 10-23-2015 Manhattan
***SAFE 10/23/15**** SUNKIST AND SIERRA MIST ARE TWO HEALTHY KITTIES WHO WERE PART OF A LARGER GROUP – THEY NEED A FOSTER OR ADOPTER NOW OR THEY WILL BE EUTHANIZED FRIDAY AT NOON! How sad for these 2 housemates SUNKIST and SIERRA MIST – their owner was arrested and the NYPD brought all of the cats to the ACC where they will have their place on the euth list if nobody comes for them. Sadly tonight SUNKIST, a beautiful 6 month old female and SIERRA MIST, a one year old male have been picked to make their first and most likely last appearance on tonight’s list. Both of these kitties were friendly and calm when brought in but have since been tense and afraid due to the surroundings they are in. They both received an EXPNOCHILD rating. We all know that these are friendly house pets who are just scared at being seized and brought to the shelter. If you give them a chance, they will relax and be wonderful companions. PLEASE DON’T LET THEIR LIVES BE ENDED FOR NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN. OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT SUNKIST AND SIERRA MIST BY CONTACTING A RESCUE GROUP TO PULL THEM TO SAFETY NOW.

10/22/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Sunkist looks tense in her cage when approached by the asessor. Reaction to door opening: Sunkist remains crouched position, pupils dilated, tail is held tightly into body, and body is tense. Reaction to touch: Sunkist accepts the stroke, but flinches during the touch and stiffens up in place. Placement determination: Experience / no child Sunkist tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
