04/07/15 15:09 Cat Name: Storm Reason for surrender: Relationship: Owner had Storm for a year. He was bread at home with several other cats. People: Storm lived with three adults and one child under the age of 10. Storm is relaxed and affectionate towards everyone in the household. Other Animals: Storm lived with three other cats that were his siblings. Storm was respectful towards the other cat in the household but will fight with the female cat over food. Owner believe that its because they are not spay and neutered. Storm has never been around a dog. Personality/Habits: Owner stated Storm is affectionate. His activity level is low, he mostly lays around. Storm likes to play with balls, catnip toys and chasing games. He has a scratching post he likes to scratch on made out of carpet and has a habit of scratching on furniture. He enjoys being picked up and held. He likes to be brushed but never had a bath. He’s afraid of being put in a carrier and will struggle for the most part. Storm likes to follow owner around, be in same room or stay in his favorite spot. Unlike the other cats at home Storm is shy and stays to himself. Owner stated he can be quiet and takes to sleep in his cat bed. Training: Storm is inside only and litter box trained. He shared a litter box with other cats and it was kept uncovered. At times Storm will spray outside the litter box and it’s been going on for the past 6 months. Owner never took Storm to the vet for this reason. Feeding: Storm eats wet and dry food called Royal Canine and Purina twice a day morning and evening time. His favorite treats are called Temptations. Behavior upon intake: Upon intake Storm was shy and nervous. He hides all the way in the back of the carrier and allowed all handling when approached slowly. He scanned negative for a microchip.

Owner profile: Storm was bought in by his previous owner because the previous had to many cats. Storm lived with three adults and one child under the age of 10. Storm is said to be relaxed and affectionate towards everyone in the household. Storm lived with three other cats that were his siblings. Storm was respectful towards the other cat in the household. Storm has never been around a dog. Storm litter box trained. Notes: At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. Although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children. Reaction to assessor: attempts to hide upon my approach (3) When spoken quietly: continues to hide (3) Reaction to door cage opening: retreats (3) Reaction to touch: moves away from me but allows some petting(4) Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling, very afraid, tries to flee. Placement Determination: Experience no child
