I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/10/2015 from NY 10314, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-039017.

S: Depressed intact male cat O:Sniffling and demonstrating increased inspiratory effort. No food has been eaten and very little water has been drunk. <5% dehydrated. A: Negatively advancing URI P: LRS 100 cc SC Baytril 22.7 mg/ml injection 0.8cc IM Metrondiazole mg/ml oral suspension 0.45cc PO Nebulize with gentocin/saline PROGNOSIS: Fair Rec. NH placement.

11/10/15 18:20 Animal’s appearance – Cat appeared clean and of healthy weight. Animal’s demeanor with you – I was easily able to transfer cat from box to den without any issues. Finder stated she found this cat outside of her house. It was living under her deck for a bit and she was able to finally trap it and bring it here to the ACC.

Stork came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Stork allowed handling. Reaction to assessor: Stork is lying in her cage, soft and relaxed. Reaction when softly spoken to: Stork looks at the assessor and blinks slowly. Reaction to cage door opening: Stork remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Stork leans into petting and allows all over body. Reaction to pick up: Stork struggles when picked up, but goes back to head-butting when placed back in cage. Placement Determination: Average Stork does not approach the assessor, but appreciates petting and attention and tolerates handling. Stork is exhibiting behavior suited to average cat parents.
