***GONE 09/01/15*** A VOLUNTEER SAYS THIS OF STAR: ‘Put the spotlight on Star. She will paw for the stage and sing her meow song. This playful lady has a pretty face which she smiles at you. This diva is looking for a new home, so check her out, she would gladly show you her beauty. She enjoys watching you from her stage and will come to greet her audience and give her fans a chance to rub her head. She enjoys the attention, which all stars do. So take a look at STAR and see if you will enjoy her performance.’ STAR is 12, but one of the best reasons for fostering or adopting a 12 year old or ‘older’ cat is because they appreciate and love you from the start. STAR has many years ahead and lots of love to give, but she needs to live to do that-her life is on the line at 12 noon tomorrow-want to make a difference in the world? SAVE STAR!

08/10/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
08/10/15 21:44 Star is a 12 yrs. old gray and white female cat who was surrendered at ACC today. Star is spayed and appears to be healthy but will undergo a physical health exam. Star is described as being good company and affectionate. Star has not been socialized with children cats or dogs at this time in her life. She is an indoor cat who is litter trained with a medium level of activity. She is described as being playful, confident, shy, mellow, friendly, aloof, talkative, affectionate and independent. Star is also described as interacting with her owner in a gentle and respectful manner. Star has never been given a bath. She is not bothered however when she having her nails trimmed, having her fur brushed, being picked up and held, placed inside a carrier, or disturbed in her sleep. She uses clumping litter in an open litter box. She likes to play with balls and will scratch the rug but does not have a scratching post at this time. She eats Friskies wet and dry food twice a day and also eats various flavored treats. Star will follow her owner around, stay in the same room with them, and sit on top of her owner. She likes to stay in her favorite spot which is under the table and she will sleep on the bed or floor at night. During the Intake proces Star was aloof staying to herself and not interacting with staff. Star did allow herself to be transferred into a new carrier and also allowed herself to be photographed inside of the carrier. She did not allow herself to be collared as she would move further back into her carrier and would struggle when an attempt was made to handle her. Star’s previous owner states that she will do well in a home where Star is the only pet.
