STAN – A1052869
Gone 10-5-2015 Brooklyn
*** GONE 10/05/15 ***ANOTHER CHANCE FOR STAN–LET’S MAKE IT COUNT!!! FIV+ STAN was brought into the ACC as a STRAY. A 12 YEAR OLD STRAY! Doesn’t seem like a cat at that age and being NEUTERED, could be a STRAY! FIV+ cats can live long, productive lives and along side of non-FIV cats. So don’t let that stop you from wanting to take this precious guy home! He’s rated EXPNOCHILD because of his frightened nature during assessment but he did allow limited petting so one would guess this guy just needs time to get used to his new surroundings and should be just fine! Offer to FOSTER or ADOPT STAN! Don’t let this golden oldie die just because the ACC doesn’t care!

10/01/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Stan was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. While petting Stan he continued to growl and hiss. We recommend that Stan goes to a home with experienced cat parents with no children. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: retreats Reaction to touch: growls, hisses but tolerants limited petting Try picking cat up: did not attempt due to Stan already being stressed Placement Determination: Experience no child
