Notes: Stadium was brought to the shelter as a stray. During his first evaluation he was displaying good behavior but his behavior has since started to decline in the shelter. When Stadium was in the adoption room he hid in the side sleeping area. There has been multiple reports of him swating when trying to remove him from cage. Stadium allows some petting and handling but is easily over stimulated and begins to hiss/swat. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, calm, (1) When spoken quietly: does not come to front but looks at you, calm, (1) Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless (2) Reaction to touch: seems indifferent to my presence and touch (2) Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling for a limited amount of time Placement Determination: Experience no child ——————————————————————————————————————— Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, calm, relaxed and friendly (1) When spoken quietly: does not come to front but looks at you, calm, relaxed and friendly (1) Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed (1) Reaction to touch: allows petting and attention (1) Reaction to toy or novel object: interested but cautious (2) Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling. Notes: Stadium was brought to the shelter as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying good behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Stadium is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
