08/21/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Sriracha’s former owner stated she enjoys petting, uses a scratch post, loves to cuddle & be picked up. Reaction to assessor: Sriracha looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Sriracha remains crouched down at the back of the cage, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Sriracha accepts the stroke, but began to shiver in place, and lip lick. During the touch she started to show some interest by slightly leaning into the assessor’s hand, but remains cautious with her surroundings. Placement determination: Experience Sriracha tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
