06/09/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Sprite was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices she relaxed a little. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children. Reaction to assessor: was hiding when I approach cage When spoken quietly: continues to hide Reaction to door cage opening: retreats Reaction to touch: hisses, tries to flee Reaction to toy or novel object: hisses, growls, try to flee Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling, very afraid, hisses and tries to flee. Placement Determination: Experience no child
