*** SAFE 11/21/15 *** SPRINKLE IS ONE OF A CAST OF THOUSANDS….SPRINKLE came in with 15 other cats due to landlord issues. We have already seen some of his housemates listed, CUPCAKE (safe) and CUDDLES (gone)…..Now it’s SPRINKLE’S turn to hopefully find a new home. SPRINKLE obviously gets along with other cats but he was fine with a small dog and children. He is already NEUTERED and only 8 years old…SPRINKLE is having a hard time in the shelter because he has lost his owner and his cat friends…..SPRINKLE IS A LOVELY CAT WHO DESERVES A LOVING HOME….PLEASE APPLY TO FOSTER OR ADOPT THIS HANDSOME GENT TONIGHT AND GET HIM SAFE TOO!!

11/14/15 11:47 Basic Information: Sprinkles is a 8 year old altered male domestic shorthair. Sprinkles was found as a stray. Owner surrenders Sprinkles due to landlord issues. Social Life and Personality: Sprinkles lived with three adults and been around children. Owner stated Sprinkles is relaxed, affectionate, and respectful towards everyone he meets. Sprinkles lived with 15 other cats that are being surrendered into the shelter as well. Owner stated Sprinkles is playful, affectionate and respectful towards all the cats. Owner also had a dog that was a Maltese and Sprinkles was respectful and tolerant towards the dog. Sprinkles is indoors only and activity level is high. Owner describes Sprinkles as playful, friendly, talkative and affectionate. Behavior: Owner stated Sprinkles never bitten or scratched anyone. His behavior is good. Sprinkles was never given a bath but had nail trim and was afraid. He enjoys being picked up and held. For a New Family to Know: Sprinkles is litter box trained and uses a uncovered litter box. He likes to play with feather wand toys and catnip. Sprinkles never had a scratching post. Sprinkles likes to follow owner around the house or stay in owner’s bed. Sprinkles eats dry food called 9 lives and eats treats called Pounce. Intake Behavior: Upon intake Sprinkles was calm and relaxed. He scanned negative for a microchip and allowed all handling.

Sprinkle behavior was monitored by the enichment faciliator pior to his evaluation. They noticed Sprinkle is very nervous and tense in the care center Sprinkle was bought into the care center due to the previous owner having too many pets. Spinkles lived with three adults and been around children. The previous owner stated Sprinkles is relaxed, affectionate, and respectful towards everyone he meets. Sprinkle lived with 15 other cats. Sprinkle is playful, affectionate and respectful towards all the cats. Sprinkle also lived with a dog. Sprinkles was respectful and tolerant towards the dog. Sprinkles is indoors only and activity level is high. The previous owner described Sprinkle as playful, friendly, talkative and affectionate. Reaction to assessor: Sprinkle does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Sprinkle does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Sprinkle remains motionless Reaction to touch: Sprinkle seems indifferent to my presence and touch Try picking cat up: Sprinkle becomes tense and may try to flee Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Sprinkles at the time of the assessment was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains moionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. I was also able to pick him up and although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children.
