I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 07/28/2015 from NY 10460, owner surrender reason stated was PERS PROB. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-024707.

07/28/15 13:53 BASIC INFO: SpongeBob A1045664 is being surrendered to the shelter by it’s Owner because they are being evicted from their residence. Owner has had for 5 years, and they do have some health concerns (flea scabbing) that will need to be looked at by a Veterinarian. They have not been seen by a Vet recently. SOCIALIZATION: Very friendly around strangers. Have lived with a 10 year old child, of which they played very gently with. They also play gentle with adults. They have lived with other cats and they are all very respectful, relaxed and affectionate with. They all played gently with each other. They have never bitten or scratched anyone. BEHAVIOR: The only behavior issue they have is that they scratch on furniture. They enjoyed riding in a car. They do not have any litter box problems. They have never been bathed, or had their nails clipped, but enjoy being brushed. They are not bothered when being placed in a carrier, or disturbed while sleeping. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW: The best way to describe this cat is by saying that it is friendly, affectionate and playful. They have a high activity level and tend to stay busy. They love to play with each other and with cat nip toys. When home, they follow the Owner around. They have been kept mainly indoors, and they all sleep on Owner’s bed. They were fed Pathmark Supermarket brand dry food and Kit and Kaboodle dry food. they use a regular uncovered box, and they do tend to scratch on a sofa. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE: Were very friendly, sweet and manageable during process.

Spongebob’s former owner stated he is very friendly around strangers. Have lived with a 10 year old child, of which they played very gently with. They also play gentle with adults. They have lived with other cats and they are all very respectful, relaxed and affectionate with. They all played gently with each other. Reaction to assessor: Spongebob immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction to door opening: Spongebob remains at the front of the cage, soft and relaxed, meowing attention. Reaction to touch: Spongebob head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. Placement determination: Beginner Spongebob interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
