SPEEDY – A1043261
7-15-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 07/15/15 *** SPEEDY IS HOPING WE ARE “SPEEDY” IN FINDING HIM A HOME…..He was surrendered by an owner too engrossed in their “PERSONAL PROBLEMS” to notice that SPEEDY’S collar was so tight that the fur had worn away beneath. SPEEDY gave it the old college try when it came to interacting with the fake ACC hand but it scared him too much and he got a NEW HOPE rating. SPEEDY IS A NICE, CALM FOUR YEAR OLD WHEN HE’S NOT AT THE ACC..He’s a young cat with none of the kitten crazies who would make a great companion. PLEASE CONSIDER FOSTERING OR ADOPTING THIS HANDSOME SNOW MAN TONITE!!

07/13/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Speedy was calm and relaxed upon approach. When softly spoken to, he looks at the assessor, and then looks away and blinks. Reaction to cage door opening: Speedy becomes alert, but remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Speedy sniffs the assessor’s hand and head-butts lightly, but becomes stiff when touched on his back. He starts to hiss and swat. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Speedy is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to swat and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
