***SAFE 06/22/15*** SPECTACULAR SPECTRA IS A DECLAWED AND SPAYED 2 YEAR OLD GIRL WHO FOUND HER WAY INTO THE ACC – AND NOW WILL DIE FOR HER FEAR!! SPECTRA is only about 2 years old. She came into the shelter as a stray, but being she is spayed and front paw declawed we know she was someone’s pet. This very pretty calico girl is afraid and not thriving in the shelter so the ACC slapped her with a NEW HOPE rating and sent her straight to the euth list. She is hissing and growling because she is scared and is lost and doesn’t know why she is caged. How can we fault her for this? Sadly SPECTRA only has TIL 12 NOON MONDAY TO LIVE. PLEASE SPARE THE LIFE OF THIS LOST GIRL AND CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HER TO SAFETY!! FOSTERING WILL BE A WAY TO SAVE HER LIFE – DON’T WAIT!

06/21/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Spectra was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. She seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment Spectra was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless Reaction to touch: growls, hisses, does not allow petting Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling Placement Determination: NewHope
