06/17/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Owner Profile: Sox lived with his mother and three other cats from his litter. He also lived with a male Boston terrier and three human adults. Sox was loose and playful with the dog and was affectionate with all the other cats. He is litter box trained. Sox has been exposed to children and is reported to be tolerant of them. Notes: At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior, does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach/ I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. I was also able to pick him up and although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless Reaction to touch: seems indifferent to my presence and touch Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling but tense.
