09/28/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Sour Patch was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Despite being nervous during her initial medical exam, she allowed all handling. Reaction to assessor: Sour Patch was sleeping on her blanket. Reaction when softly spoken to: Sour Patch becomes tense and focuses on the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Sour Patch flinches and moves to the back slowly. Reaction to touch: Sour Patch’s ears flatten and then she moves away from the assessor. She becomes tense and still. Reaction to being picked up: Sour Patch is tense when held, gets antsy and tries to jump away. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Sour Patch tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
