***GONE 09/04/15*** HEARTBREAKING! SOLO is an ‘old return’. At 6 years of age his former owner decided she didn’t want him anymore because she is having a baby and is worried about his behavior…you see, he is ‘scratching the walls and biting’ at her legs-now bear in mind, he is not breaking the skin! Cats do this when they want to get your attention and can’t any other way!!!!! And…the ACC worker goes on to say ‘that her son pulls his tail and ears and is mean to the cat. She says that Solo does not react to the child.’ Er-this sounds like animal abuse and cruelty to me-why does this woman allow this-and she is again having another child? So, this cat, who ‘ follows the owner around and likes attention. She describes him as independent, very affectionate, friendly, and cuddly. Behavior during intake Solo was very vocal and calm. He meowed while being handled. He is very large and I had a hard time picking him but he tolerated all handling. I was able to scann(+) collar him and photograph him. He allowed all petting and was very friendly.’ The words of ACC, who state the cat is ‘gentle, friendly,’ Yet, this friendly NEUTERED cat is on Death Row tonight because of ignorance, stupidity and someone who repays his love and devotion with desertion, and allowing her child to abuse him. SOLO doesn’t deserve this-will you help him learn that people can be kind and there are ‘forever families?” He only has til tomorrow-so many lovely cats have been killed. Don’t let this big eyed wonderful smart boy-who never retaliated when the child pulled his tail and ears-don’t let him be killed!
