Sofia – A1047058 – 14 yr. spayed brown tabby, OS:

BASIC INFORMATION

Sofia is a declawed, brown tabby that is 14 years old. She was bought from a pet store when she was just a kitten. Owner had to surrendering both of his cats Sofia and Jeal Luke A1047058 because he is moving to an apartment that does not allow any animals. Sofia has been taken to the veterinarian and has no known illness.

SOCIALAZATION

Sofia has been around children of various ages. She is very gentle and relaxed around children ages infant through teen. Sofia enjoys being around adults, she is mostly gentle and affectionate. She approaches stranger that visit the home and accept gentle strokes. Sofia grew up with another cat name Jeal Luke A1047058. They follow each other around the house and lounge around together. She has also been around small breed dogs and is mostly relaxed.

BEHAVIOR

Sofia has no concerning behavior. When he is wary of stranger she hides and then approach to sniff. She has never got a bath nor had his nail trimmed. She enjoys having his coat brushed occasionally. At times she struggles going into his carrier but managed to relax after a few. Sofia always uses her litter box but at times misses and eliminates near the litter box. She is not bother when being picked up or held for a long period of time.

FOR NEW FAMILIES TO KNOW

Sofia is described as very relaxed, affectionate and mellow. Throughout most of the day she lounges around the house and sleep. She enjoys sleeping under the sofa. She had a hooded litter box and will use any brand of litter. Sofia seeks for attention and purrs when being petted by owner. She does care much for cat toys or treats. She enjoys unlimited dry cat food preferably Meow Mix. Sofia may do best in a home with adults only because she can become reactive towards change.

BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE

Upon intake Sofia body was tense. Her ears were low and hiss at counselor. She did not allow being picked up and held. She displayed a lot of avoidance behavior and lip licked. She did not allow being collard, photographed with back drop.

hissing, growling and will swatt if provoked
