Sweetheart Socks quickly caught the eye of an ACC volunteer, who lovingly writes: “This owner surrender has her eye on you. This mostly white girl will enchant you with her beauty. Socks looks at you with her amazing green eyes. She is like a white fluff ball who will come to you in her time. She is calm and friendly. Give her head rubs, which she enjoys so much, she will lay on her side looking up at you with a content look on her face. Socks is a mature lady who wants to enjoy your company. Reaction to Assessor: Socks was calm and relaxed upon approach. When softly spoken to, she looks at the assessor, and then looks away. Reaction to cage door opening: Socks remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Socks head-butts the assessor’s hand lightly, gets up to greet, leans onto the assessor, and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Socks becomes tense and may struggle due to her girth. As per previous owner, Socks is friendly around other cats and plays with them in a gentle and respectful manner. Socks has well socialized with children and also plays gently with them. Behavior Determination: Average Socks interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
